The A/B Test: Furnishing your sales with the Trustbadge

AmbienteDirect conducted an A/B test by displaying the Trustbadge with the Trusted Shops Trustmark in the footer of the page throughout the checkout process. The B version did not contain this trust element.

The A/B test ran for 4 weeks on the mobile version of the shop and 2 weeks on the desktop/tablet version.

The results are impressive: The conversion rate and average order value (AOV) have increased significantly in the versions with the Trustmark!

"The Trusted Shops Trustmark showed a reduction in the abandonment rate in two of the checkout steps, particularly with the desktop version. However, on mobile, all checkout steps were impacted positively. From this, we conclude that uncertainty is generally high on mobile, which is why trust-building measures such as the installation of seals are given greater importance."
