GDPR: Trusted Shops Members Can Update Privacy Policy Easily

The GDPR has been fully applicable for a few years now. As a result of the new regulation, online shops displaying the Trustbadge® must include a paragraph on this subject in their privacy policy. We have prepared a free sample text for you.

The Trustbadge enables you to display reviews and, if your shop has been audited, the Trusted Shops Trustmark on your online shop as well. This means that you use the product of a third party – in this case, Trusted Shops – for your online shop. According to the GDPR, websites must mention third-party content in their privacy policy.

What do you need to do?

Trusted Shops has put a template including the required specific information on the Trustbadge for your privacy policy at your disposal. All you need to do is copy-paste the text from our dedicated website into your privacy policy.

We provide three different samples matching the way you use the Trustbadge for your online shop:

  • one for shops displaying the Trustmark and customer reviews
  • one for those that display the Trustmark only
  • one for shops that display reviews only
