Shopify to Remove Product Reviews App in May 2024

Shopify, the popular e-commerce platform, currently hosts nearly 5 million online shops on its system. Recently, they’ve made a big announcement regarding their Product Reviews app.

Shopify Reviews App to close in May 2024

As of 6 May 2024, the native Product Reviews app will be removed from Shopify.

What does this mean?

This announcement means that Shopify users will no longer be able to download, install, or access the Product Reviews app as of 6 May.

According to Shopify, online shops that want to continue collecting and displaying product reviews on their website will need to migrate to another product review app before the 6 May deadline.

Shop owners who have been using this app until now must take action before the deadline. Otherwise, they risk losing access to all the reviews they’ve collected until now.

Once you’ve imported the Product Reviews into the Trusted Shops system, you are good to go.
